HOW WE CAME TO BE
San Francisco Intimacy & Sex Therapy Centers were founded with the goal of making the practice of relationship, intimacy, couples and sex therapy & coaching more relationship-focused and accessible, without the stigma and confusion that often accompanies misperceptions about couple and sex therapy. We operate from a shame free paradigm and are sex positive, LGBTQ+, kink and polyam affirming. We believe pleasure and connection are core human needs and a fundamental human right.
As a completely BIPOC & LGBTQ+ owned and run business, we have a deep commitment to supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx. The founders and admin team are all BIPOC and LQBTQIA+. Also approximately 25% of our practitioners are BIPOC and many are LGBTQIA+ and the rest of the team are allies. We believe in collaborating to create safe and supportive spaces for marginalized communities.

Marin, Sausalito, Napa Valley and North Bay Area, Menlo ParkC Palo Alto, Portland and beyond…Our clinicians are licensed clinical psychologists, marriage and family therapists, interns with supervision towards licensure, certified coaches, and psychological assistants working with supervision toward licensure, doctors or human sexuality, clinical sexologists and sexological bodyworkers. Our masters and doctoral level therapists and Sex and intimacy coaches offer a uniquely tailored, customized, client-centered approach.
